I just read on the internet that Friday marked the 45th anniversary of the song "Let It Be" by the Beatles.  Hundreds flocked to Abbey Road to do the traditional walk across the street.

I did this walk in the 90' I thought I would share two you see I certainly looked different and was just recovering from a bad fractured arm.

As you can tell I was hurrying...and traffic was bearing down on I guess they are going to put a traffic warden there to aid people who want to walk across.

Until just recently I thought that I was one of the few who chose to do this but I guess it is quite the thing to do and many hundreds of people have done it.

Tomorrow I head out to the only internet I will have is on my IPhone....hard to blog that way.  Not sure when I am returning....time will tell.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Have a safe trip Ruth and pray you find what you are looking for in Florida. Crossing that road was certainly the thing to do back then.

  2. Ruth! Let me know if there is time to get together again! I would love to see you! My old boss did that walk and he has a great photo of him and three other museum directors doing it. They dressed for the parts. What fun! Hope to see you soon!

  3. I so want to go to England! I have several blog friends there.
You must post all about this trip, Ruth, when you get back.

  4. Cynthia...I went to England a long time ago...not lately. I was headed out to florida back in August. Thinks didn't work out for me down there so I returned to Michigan in September. I would like to go to England again someday. It was a fun trip...went with a tour group and most of us were singles. Global tours does a nice job.
